Refried Bean Dip
Mashed pinto beans heated with chili powder, cumin, and garlic. Warm, scoopable, and ready in ten minutes flat.
Ingredients
Instructions
- 1
Drain and rinse the pinto beans.
- 2
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- 3
Add the beans to the skillet and mash them with a fork or potato masher. You want them mostly smooth with a few chunks for texture.
- 4
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Add the water and stir to combine — the water helps loosen the beans into a dip-friendly consistency.
- 5
Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beans are hot and the spices are fragrant.
- 6
Transfer to a bowl. Serve warm with crackers alongside for scooping.
